Power with Purpose 2018
We are grateful for another year of providing power and support to our member-consumers and local community. After more than 80 years, it’s good to look back at where we came from and celebrate the benefits of being a member of your rural electric cooperative. Western Iowa Power Cooperative is a thriving, modern co-op serving more than 3.500 members through 2,000 miles of power lines in parts of 9 counties in western Iowa. Take a look at how WIPCO practices "Power with Purpose" in all that we do.
RECare provides local community action agencies with funds to help low-income families pay for winter heating bills and weatherize their homes. This program allows you to help other less fortunate electric cooperative member-owners.
Dependents of member-owners of Western Iowa Power Cooperative are eligible to apply for college scholarships - two $1,000 and four $500.
Energy Trail Tours
WIPCO and NIPCO invite our member-owners to join us on an Energy Trail Tour. This three-day adventure allows participants to view first hand how your power suppliers convert energy from water, wind, and coal into electricity.
