Western Iowa Power Cooperative has expanded its scholarship program for the upcoming academic year.

Western Iowa Power Cooperative has expanded its scholarship program for the upcoming academic year. As part of our continued effort to support the educational goals of students whose parents or guardians are WIPCO members, we are pleased to introduce a new $1,500 scholarship for the 2026-2027 school year.

This year, WIPCO partnered with Basin Electric Power Cooperative, will award the following to dependents of member-owners: 

• One new $1,500 scholarship

• Two $1,000 scholarships

• Four $500 scholarships, including two reserved for students pursuing vocational or technical programs

Scholarships may be used at accredited two-year or four-year colleges, universities, and vocational/technical schools. Awards are provided to help with educational expenses and are not based on other financial aid a student may receive.

Students interested in applying are encouraged to begin preparing early. Full details, eligibility requirements, and application instructions are available below.
